Maria Sturm, born 1993 in Ellwangen (Germany), started her musical career with a degree in euphonium at the Lucerne School of Music (of the Lucerne University of Applied Arts and Sciences) with Thomas Rüedi. In 2016, she received a Bachelor of Arts in Music with a profile in classics. For the subsequent master’s degree, she specialized in secondary music education conducting and completed her master’s degree in secondary music education with honors.
In addition to her work as a music educator and instrumental teacher, Maria Sturm is the conductor of several wind orchestras in Germany and Switzerland. As a member of the trio Almdudler unplugged she is on stage with the baritone and writes the arrangements in the genres of wind music, pop and rock.

Musician, conducter & arranger
Music is my passion, which I enjoy sharing with children, young people and adults. Whether in the classroom, individual lessons or in a brass band – music pedagogy is very dear to me.
During my studies pursuing a master’s degree with minor in choral conducting I discovered my passion for conducting, which I got to expand during my practical experience with several brass bands.
